About Me
My artwork is based on the theme of Nature and natural forms. I like to explore How the landscape may be described in line, shapes, colours and textures.
I use varied mixed media-selecting what each piece needs, sometimes it’s a good mix of everything! – which is always fun! My artwork explores drawing, painting, printmaking, collage and textiles including free- hand embroidery.
Inspiration
I am fortunate to live and work in and amongst some wonderful scenery close to Cwm Carn Forest drive, with my inspiration on my doorstep, Mount Medart, I can access and discover new scenes throughout the year. My companions in my ventures are my dogs Walter and Hilda-who is a keen adventurer in her own right and aids my new findings of places! And Tommy, my rescue pony- who I ride out and can view scenes from different angles and heights when we venture from the other side of the Twmbarlwm mountain and through the lanes and countryside.

I studied Painting & Drawing in Swansea Met (then known as Swansea Institute of Higher Education) and since graduating I have worked as an art teacher at a sixth form college in South Wales. I have been teaching for 23 years and have worked in youth work and in adult and community education.
